I have read and hereby agree to abide by the following during the time I am fostering dogs OR performing other volunteer duties for Washington German Shepherd Rescue(WGSR)

Fostering Role – Return on Demand: I understand that if I choose to foster, my role as a foster home is solely as a temporary home, and that the placement of any dogs I foster will be conducted by or approved by a WGSR member, or other designated representative. I agree to return the dog to WGSR on demand and acknowledge that I do not own the dog or have superior rights of possession in the dog.
Not Speaking Agent: I am not authorized to speak for WGSR or to enter into any agreements for the organization without express written permission from WGSR.
Mission: I will not undertake any actions that could be considered inconsistent with WGSR’s mission. I understand that my volunteer position will be terminated if my conduct is deemed detrimental to the best interests of the organization.
Reimbursement: I understand that I am personally responsible for any expenses except for medical bills that I might incur in my effort to foster dogs or carry out my volunteer duties. WGSR will reimburse direct and reasonable expenses, when provided with documentation and receipts, attributed to the rescue or health care of individual dogs. I agree that expenses over $75.00, for any individual dog, must be pre-approved by WGSR
Nonprofit: As a representative of a non-profit organization, I understand that I may never profit from the care of or placement of a rescued dog or from any activity I undertake as a volunteer for the benefit of WGSR.
Confinement: I agree to keep foster dogs or dogs that I may handle for WGSR securely confined while in my care.
No Guarantees or Warranties: I understand that WGSR cannot and does not guarantee the temperament, health or behavior of rescued dogs I may handle. I am aware that dogs may cause property damage or personal injury to myself, my family or others.
Insurance: I certify that I carry adequate insurance coverage in the event of personal or liability damages resulting from a dog I may handle or other volunteer activities I carry out for WGSR.
Hold Harmless: I agree to hold harmless WGSR, any agent carrying out duties on behalf of WGSR, and any and all participating persons who might be claimed to be liable, whether or not heir in named, from any and all actions, causes of action, lawsuits, claims and demands which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of, or in any way relating to, any and all injuries and damages, to both person and property, and also any and all injuries and damages that may develop in the future, as a result of or in any way relating to my participation as a WGSR volunteer or foster home.
Liability Acknowledgment: I agree to defend, hold harmless, and indemnify WGSR from any claims made against me arising from my care, custody, and/or control of a dog I may handle, keep, harbor, or possess for WGSR. Examples include the dog biting or attacking a person or animal or destroying property. I accept sole responsibility for any harm caused by the dog to myself or a third party while under my care, custody, and/or control.
Binding Agreement: I agree that this release shall be legally binding upon the undersigned and his/her respective heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, successors and assigns.

I have carefully read this agreement/release and fully understand its contents, and sign if of my own free will. I have agreed to submit this application by electronic means. By signing this application electronically, I understand that an electronic signature has the same legal effect and can be enforced in the same way as a written signature.
