Looking for a mature companion to walk beside you through life’s ups and downs? Misty is a 7-year-old female who wants nothing more than to be your best friend. She is calm and quiet. Misty will seek you out in the house and quietly lay down near you. She is a confident GSD, housebroken, greets your houseguests as friends and truly appreciates being inside a house.
Misty was a California girl. She was surrendered in Riverside, California, and weighed in at a hefty, overweight, 102 lbs. Misty was in danger of being euthanized, but she was saved by being transferred to a caring volunteer in Chehalis, Washington. After a month living in a temporary foster home, being on a diet and getting exercise, Misty lost some excess weight and now weighs a healthier 94 lbs.
As a senior, Misty has arthritis and may need help to keep her comfortable and mobile. She shows some hesitancy jumping into a vehicle. On the bright side, Misty doesn’t climb on your furniture or jump on you or your houseguests.
Misty loves taking walks and will walk right next to you. She does not appear to be dog aggressive. Mostly, Misty ignores other dogs, but she has occasionally barked at dogs who show aggression to her first.
Why would someone surrender such a good dog? Hard to say, but, if you’re looking for a well behaved, calm companion, Misty is the dog for you!
