Maddie is a beautiful, incredibly sweet, very attentive, six-month-old, German Shepherd Dog puppy that had a rough go at four months after jumping out of a truck bed. She was dragged behind the truck and endured several nurse appointments and rehabilitation of her wounds. It was a long road to recovery.
Lucky for Maddie, all of her injuries healed well and she has totally recovered. Her scarring is minimal and covered by her fur. Maddie is smart and food motivated, so she picks up commands and manners like nobody's business. She is very gentle and loving.
Maddie loves to play with the other large energetic shepherd-mix at her foster home, but is a little hesitant of news dogs. She needs to work on her manners and confidence with new dogs and have continual socialization and training just like any other six-month-old shepherd pup.
Although Maddie has been living with the resident shepherd-mix, we feel she will thrive most as the only pet in the household for now.
Maddie is very committed to her person and makes a point to check on them often. She does great in a crate and through her recovery has never once had a potty in the house, nor was she destructive in any way! Amazing! Maddie will make an incredibly attentive and devoted companion and deserves to find a forever home that will give her all the love she deserves.
