Lacy is a 4-year-old, 115-lb, AKC female German Shepherd Dog that is looking for a new home due to her owner's terminal illness. She has had extensive training and knows quite a few commands, but could use a refresher.
Lacy is accustomed to having someone home full-time, going for lots of walks and getting a lot of outdoor activity. She has been around cats and other dogs, but won’t be put in a home with another large breed female (due to breed). Lacy has never lived with children, so will need to go into an adult-only family.
Lacy is an easy going GSD, for the most part. She likes her toys, but hasn’t shown any resource guarding with them. Lacy loves playing in the water and playing with the water hose. She has enjoyed playing with some dogs, but, others, she isn’t interested in playing with.
Lacy's ideal adopter will be an individual or adult couple that is home a lot or works from home and enjoys being outside and doing outdoor activities. She loves having property to run on and has great recall and is always close.
