Magnus is a handsome, male, German Shepherd Dog with piercing amber-colored eyes who just arrived in rescue. He weighs 67 lbs and is 3 years old, we are told.
Magnus was surrendered to us after his owners could no longer take care of him. He's very food motivated, so with a bit of good food and exercise he'll get to where his weight needs to be!
Magnus enjoys the company of his foster dog siblings, but is fairly shy and submissive to them. He absolutely loves his chew toys, especially the heavy duty ones! When Magnus is taking a break from the activities, he enjoys going back into his crate or hanging out with his foster parents on the couch.
Magnus loves to interact with people and will practically fall over with all of the tail wags that he uses to greet you! He doesn't know how to give doggie kisses and instead just gently bumps his wet nose on faces.
Magnus has fairly good leash manners, but will still need to go into an obedience and training program to ensure that he excels and that he and his forever home thrive together. He is very active and is constantly using his nose to sniff around. Magnus will do really well in a home that loves to go on plenty of walks and hikes!
