Cake is a super sweet, silly, and playful, 16-month-old German Shepherd Dog.
Her name is a bit of a cliche, but she really is as sweet as a chocolate cake!
Cake’s owners surrendered her when they were moving. She can be a little timid at first, but once she settles in and trusts you, Cake is an absolute sweetheart.
Cake would love to have her very own person she can love on!
Cake is still learning basic commands, such as sit, down and walking on a leash. She is doing great with crate training and will happily put herself in the crate for a nap.
Cake is enjoying the company of her canine housemate and previously lived with a cat loves playing with her foster brother. She has great house manners and doesn't get into anything. Cake loves to fall asleep on the couch and will happily take naps with you. She is great in the car and would love to go on frequent adventures with her person.
Cake will do best with someone who is experienced with high-energy working breeds, especially since she can be timid and needs a strong person to give her confidence, as well as continue her training. She has tons of energy and would love to go for daily walks and outings, rain or shine! Cake will be fine as the only dog, or with a dog/cat sibling.
